That’s Neat Signs is a family run business with over 30 years combined experience in the signs, graphics, print and design industries. The company is run by Helen & Nigel Tudgay, who have both had many years working in the sign industry, running and developing a number of sign companies.

 

Nigel originally trained as a Mechanical and Production Engineer, completing a 4 year apprenticeship and working as a Mechanical Draughtsman.

 

Helen trained as a primary school teacher and worked in a number of schools in Gosport, Waterlooville and Portsmouth.

 

In 1989 Nigel started the sign company All About Signs, then based in Limberline Industrial Estate in Hillsea, Portsmouth. The company grew and became well know locally designing and installing many types of signs from site boards to vehicle graphics, promotional banners, shop signs and advertising boards.

 

In 2000 Nigel sold the business and over the next couple of years learnt to build and develop web sites and understand online marketing, which was a relatively young sector at the time.

 

Nigel established Top Notch Signs & Graphics Ltd and grew the business into a thriving sign business supplying all types of signage from vehicle graphics, site boards, pavement signs and more. As well as supplying local signs the company developed a strong online presence selling such products as vinyl lettering, magnetic signs, banners, site boards, pavements signs, vinyl stickers, digital prints, posters, hand held paddles, wearable sandwich boards and much more.

 

A further extension to Top Notch Signs was the set up of All About Chevrons, an online business specifically designed to sell chapter 8 chevron markings for highway and motorway maintenance vehicles. All About chevrons provided high visibility vehicle markings throughout the UK with made to measure kits for commercial vehicles in both magnetic and self adhesive versions.

 

Another addition was Sticky Lettering; a small online site set up to supply pre-spaced computer cut vinyl lettering for such applications as simple signs, van lettering, sign writing, boat names, wheelie bin numbers and other applications for easy to apply vinyl lettering.

 

After much deliberation in 2015 Nigel & Helen (who had by then joined the company) decided to sell Top Notch Signs & Graphics including All About Chevrons and Sticky Lettering, in order to take some time out, do some travelling and enjoy some free time with the family.

 

In 2018 (after 2 years of “free time with the family”) Helen & Nigel set up That’s Neat Signs to provide a personal, friendly and competitive sign service to local businesses.
